GameMaker Game Programming with GML is a book I wrote, published by Packt Publishing, in 2014.  The goal of the book was to teach users how to create games using GameMaker.  In the book, readers first create a match-three puzzle game and then a simple platformer (shown on the cover of the book).  The book is meant to be for beginners, but I believe the publisher felt it was a bit more intermediate, removing the word beginner from the original title.
