Convextrix was a puzzle game created for the Xbox Live Indie Games marketplace.
The player is introduced with a grid of varying dimension. Then, sets of three descend the grid, and as they descend, the player must rotate and swap the pieces to try and create matching sets. It starts out as a match three, but as the player levels up, it becomes a match 4, 5, 6, and so on until the place a set of blocks outside of the grid.
The goal of Convetrix was to create a game quickly, something that could be done entirely by one individual, and it was. Similar to Tetris, Convextrix is meant to be a simple game with a mechanic that can be easily understood and mastered.
Will there be a Convetrix 2? Well, it’s not out of the question, but it’s definitely not on the horizon any time soon.
